Elephants are not just grey - by taking dust/mud baths, they take on the colours of the land that surrounds them. This elephant has a rich, warm, earthy tone, reminiscent of living coral.The rough texture of the paper and charcoal marks reminded me of an elephant's skin, with all its lovely imperfections and wrinkles.
