Meerkat Family

These meerkats, a mother and baby, are part of a big meerkat family that lives in the Kalahari desert in Namibia. The baby meerkat wants to run off and explore - his mother places a reassuring paw on her back, as if to say that she will protect her little one. This sweet family was photographed in Africa in the wild by my father, and I created this artwork based on his image.
