Looking Deadly
Artwork Description
This cheeky young Cassowary stares right at you in this bright, whimsical watercolour. Cassowaries are the prehistoric rainforest gardenders of North Queensland. Several species of plants depend on the cassowaries to eat and disperse their seeds. Just a friendly note - "deadly" in Australia is often used to mean "awesome" or "great", but the title is a play on words because Cassowaries can be literally deadly, too. "Be Casso-wary" and do not approach one in the wild. They're basically dinosaurs!
