Song of the Honeyeater

Artwork Description

This delicate watercolour painting features a New Holland Honeyeater, which was one of the first birds to be scientifically described in Australia. Found in woodlands and gardens along the southern side of Australia, these beautiful little birds use their long beaks to feed on nectar from native flowers, such as banksias and grevilleas.
