Two Yellow Robins perch on the side of a twisting rainforest tree, hunting for insects amongst the mosses and small ferns that grow on the tree. Behind the trees is a warm background glow of a rainforest bathed in sunrise.

Dawn Singers

Artwork Description

Aren’t Yellow Robins just delightful? I adore these little rainforest tennis-balls of happiness, and can’t resist painting them! The reference photos were taken by me recently in Lamington National Park, QLD. "Dawn Singers" is what the Latin genus name "Eopsaltria" means, which is the scientific genus the Yellow Robins belong to.
